RCS Chat
Hello, I have recently joined Smarty and ported my existing number. When texting people it shows as the Smarty number from the sim card and not my number. Does anyone know how to change this? I have followed the instructions on Google but didn't work. Thanks

ChrisSt_4285129 The phone has 'remembered' the number allocated to the sim when it was first activated.
You may be able to change it in the Settings part of the phone - My Number. If that doesn't work, then you may need a Network Reset (which can lose existing settings unfortunately). Also worth trying to turn off then on again to force it to connect to network.
I don't remember what I did to fix it, but I believe it is along the lines of turning RCS chat off in Google Messages, turning off Phone Number Verification in Google's settings, restarting my phone, and then turning verify phone number and then RCS on again.
