Wi-Fi calls keep dropping

Wi-Fi calling always worked well on EE but now has frequent drop outs with smarty a not loss of call completely but both sides of the conversation keep missing a couple of seconds at a time. It works fine without any glitches on WhatsApp calls and we don’t have any broadband speed or other problems. As we have almost no network signal here we rely on WiFi calling but it is terrible. Carrier settings are three 65. Any help appreciated.
