Pac code used by mistake
Hello.
I recently thought it would be better to join tesco mobile. Not to save money but have more roaming data.
I unfortunately live in a area that they don't give coverage.
So I have cancelled my tesco mobile plan and renewed my smarty plan.
My question is that it used the pac code to port my number. Got a text from tesco mobile to say the change will happen on the 22nd.
Is there anyway of stopping this? If not what will happen to my phone ? Will I get a new number assigned to this smarty contract ??
Cheers in advance

Thanks for the response.
so porting will cancel my sim.
My sim still works, as i have just paid for another month, will this month disappear?
Can I ask for a change of number ?

jarl69 Any port is driven by the network to which you give the PAC code. Hard to see how they can get a port in if you no longer have an account.
That said, you really need to speak to Tesco to cancel it I think. You can also web chat with Smarty support to try and block such a move.
However, if your number is ported out, then as far as I understand your sim won't get another number, it just won't work because the porting will have cancelled it.
