Unable to call in Honor
Unfortunately not. Different mobile device manufacturers and different mobile network equipment manufacturers implement VoLTE (4G calling) in slightly different ways, which aren’t always compatible with each other.
Because Three/Smarty have switched off most of their 3G coverage now, if your device isn’t compatible with their VoLTE, you’re now going to struggle with calls.
All of the other UK networks which have turned off 3G have the advantage of still having 2G networks, so any phones on those networks which are not compatible with their VoLTE will just drop down to 2G for calls. Unfortunately, Three/Smarty has no 2G network.
Thanks for the reply, the phone is "4g ready". Is that not the same thing then?

I have the same problem does this mean I need to find a different network provider?
If you're sure VoLTE is enabled on your phone and calls are not working, then yes, you most likely will, unfortunately.
