Unable to call in Honor
I have just acquired a Honor X6b and I cannot place or receive any calls. The signal goes from 4g to H as soon as I try to call. I can get and send messages so why is the call function not working?
Any ideas please?

Unfortunately not. Different mobile device manufacturers and different mobile network equipment manufacturers implement VoLTE (4G calling) in slightly different ways, which aren’t always compatible with each other.
Because Three/Smarty have switched off most of their 3G coverage now, if your device isn’t compatible with their VoLTE, you’re now going to struggle with calls.
All of the other UK networks which have turned off 3G have the advantage of still having 2G networks, so any phones on those networks which are not compatible with their VoLTE will just drop down to 2G for calls. Unfortunately, Three/Smarty has no 2G network.

I have the same issue. Does this mean I need to find a new provider?

It sounds like your phone may not be compatible with Smarty's VoLTE (4G calling), I'm afraid. It's trying to drop down to 3G to make calls, but most of Smarty's 3G has now been turned off.
See this page for more info.

Thanks for the reply, the phone is "4g ready". Is that not the same thing then?
