New sim, number transferred but still coming up as the new sim
Hi I have an Iphone12, I transferred my old number across to Smarty. However when I text friends it comes up with the new sim number. I have tried to edit my number and change it back to the one I want to keep but it won’t save it. Can anyone help? , I will be starting Cancer treatment so need my number to stay the same as my old one as this is the number they have to contact me.

Try a network reset.
Settings>General>Transfer or reset iPhone>reset>Reset network settings. You’ll have to set up any WiFi connection again afterwards.JoanneL_3054159 Follow good advice from SmartyTrousers. Another way is to do a network reset on your phone.
Assuming you had the text from Smarty to say your number transfer is complete, go into Settings > Apps > Messages. Toggle off iMessage, wait a minute, then toggle it back on. Tap into 'Send & Receive', and you should see your correct phone number with a blue tick next to it (if not immediately then the tick should appear within a few seconds).
