Networks in Ireland

Hi I’m using my Smarty sim for first time in Ireland (republic) and it’s auto selected Vodafone ie which is the biggest network but my phone is spinning and not connecting to the network. Smarty / my phone worked in Spain and I have mobile data, roaming on. Any suggestions? As I’m tethering to my hubby’s phone. Thanks.

    Another quick thought......did you try turning off wifi to try and force the phone to connect to a network?

    SMARTY can't guarantee coverage abroad as you are connecting to another network provider. This also means that SMARTY have no control over the network if there are any outages, for example. Your network will vary depending on where you travel to. 

    As MSF has mentioned below, I would check the device settings and make sure they have been updated correctly. Alternatively, try manually changing the network you are connecting to!
