Mobile Number Confusion

My mobile has a UK phone number, call it N1, which I have been using for years. But when on my Android I go to Settings - About Phone I see that my SIM1 has a quite different number N2. Does this matter, and if so how can I change the phone number in 'About Phone' to be the correct number N1? Thanks
