Smarty sim not working in Australia
Very disappointed that my Smarty Sim is not working in Australia. Didn’t realise, before travelling, it would be a problem and surprised when I got to Australia that I could only get an SOS mobile connection. My wife’s phone working fine on giffgaff and connecting to a local network. Then read all the related posts about problems people have had with Smarty in Australia. I have bought an Optus esim for data and calls/text (local and international) but still no way to access my calls to/from my usual uk number. If I had known in advance I would have forwarded calls to my uk number onto my wife’s phone before travelling but too late now. Hope Smarty sorts this out soon or I am off to another network.6Views0likes0CommentsAvoiding charges while outside EU
I am currently on holiday outside the EU and I forgot to cancel voicemail or disable my Smarty SIM before I left, and I was billed a few pounds for mobile data before I realised my mistake. Own fault, but I would like to make sure I avoid any more. I have now added a local SIM and turned the Smarty one off but I think I read somewhere that I should disable voicemail otherwise any messages will be chargable incoming calls. Can I do that somehow without incurring additional charges in the process?20Views0likes0CommentsJoining Smarty
Hello-I got two smarty Sims for my teenage children some time ago and another for my wife last year. I am with another provider. I have decided that I would like to move to Smarty but my current Smarty account has my son's SIM linked up with my name and email address. When I sign in, I have to ask him for the access code sent to his number. How can I painlessly join smarty with my existing number ? Thanks66Views0likes1CommentNew Sim not working
Hello, I urgently need assistance with a SIM card that has not been working for the past two months. Background: I was abroad when my phone was stolen. I ordered a replacement SIM and had a friend in the UK ship it to me. Despite following all APN setup instructions, the SIM never connected to any network while I was abroad. I assumed it needed to be activated in the UK first, so I waited to report the issue. Current situation: I returned to the UK today and the SIM still will not connect. My phone can detect the SMARTY 3G and 4G networks in the settings, but when I attempt to connect, I receive the error message "couldn't connect to the network." Could you please help me resolve this issue as soon as possible? I've been without mobile service for two months and need to get this working urgently. Many thanks for your assistance. Best regards, Fran61Views0likes1Comment1h00m5s
Since around the 24th September all my outgoing calls that reach 1 hour 0 minutes and 5 seconds are disconnected. I didn't notice at first, but when I looked at my call logs the same numbers showed up over and over. Before this date the cut off was 2 hours. Is it just me or are we now limited to 1 hour (and 5 seconds) outgoing calls.24Views0likes0CommentsWi-Fi Incoming Calls
