I've been charged £4.50 every week for this website funvids, I didn't even press anything, I just opened it, and somehow it got my phone number and has been charging me on my phone bill weekly, what can I do? Or can smarty block 3rd party payments? I've tried messaging 'STOP' to their shortcode 65065, but it said I have insufficient funds, so I bought a £5 bolt on that said it could message shortcodes, I converted it to credit, sent the message again, and it still didn't work, so I don't know what to do22Views0likes1CommentSIM disconnected
This has happened across two phones And across e sim and physical Sims. I can be in an area I know has signal Not overly crowded or built up etc Then suddenly a ! Will appear next to my signal bar While it still claims to have 4 or 5 g signal But I don't have any signal I have to go into my phones settings and switch the SIM on and off again to get it to work. I've just switched over to Smarty from BT mobile. Using an unlocked Sony Xperia V IV . It seems this phone is not compatible with Smarty WiFi calling or VoLTE ? Additionally I am unable to get any incoming voice calls - they all go direct to vmail. I can make outgoing voice calls ok and have a good signal -105dBm and 4G. I have been a Smarty Customer since February 2026. Since that time I have had two days access to calls and text. Up until yesterday I had no issue with mobile data. Mother's Day data stopped completely and I was automatically logged out of the Smarty App. I do not have WiFi at home so rely on my phone to keep in contact with people. It is unsatisfactory for me to pay for a unlimited plan but not get that service. My office has excellent wifi, but no chance of mobile signal. (Thick brick etc) BBand It's an FTTC service today (15 MBps down, + 0.5 MBps up), 1.6kms distant from the cabinet MAJOR CHANGE SOON: FTTP will be installed next week Phone Settings WiFi is Calling is always ON - of course. They say "Wi-Fi calling allows smartphones to make and RECEIVE [??] calls." That's not my experience for Receive - and not on SMS either WhatsApp gives a far more reliable service, but callers usually use the conventional mobile network to make their calls. How you can help: I'd really like to understand what affects my phone's visibility on the mobile network, and what I can do to improve it. We are unable to make calls to my mother in law's landline since a change by openreach to enable area code dialling from the landline. We have tried a giff gaff SIM, this dials the number successfully. Can you investigate and let me know what needs doing to resolve this? TIA37Views0likes1Comment
