Swapping the numbers of two SIM cards (is this possible?)
Hi, Here's the deal: I have a phone with two SIM cards in it. One is my shiny new SMARTY SIM, the other is with a different provider. I want to swap the phone numbers associated with each SIM so that I can have my main phone number on my SMARTY account, and the number currently connected to my SMARTY account switched to the other provider. Is this possible? If it is, what hoops do I need to jump through? Thanks in advance for your input.14KViews0likes20CommentsCan’t ring in or out on my phone
Hello, I suddenly have a problem whereby I can’t make or receive calls. I have changed to a new SIM card and still no joy. Swapping to a different Smarty sim resolves the problem. Smarty customer service have been spectacularly unhelpful. I have reset the phone, checked the settings etc all from the help pages and it still won’t work. Any help appreciated.12KViews1like12CommentsNot sure how to unlock the phone I bought
Hi guys. I am really hoping someone can help. I bought a second hand phone from ebay, as I have done before. The advert stated the phone was unlocked so I didn't think much of it. However, I put in my Smarty SIM and it is asking for a Pin code. I did some research and learned that this happens when a phone is locked to a specific network. I messaged the seller asking them if they knew anything about this, and they said that they aren't sure what it could be since they bought the phone from Tesco Mobile and was told it was unlocked and they themselves used their GiffGaff Sim with it from day 1. I don't really know where to go from here. I used the Tesco unlock request but not sure I did it right, since I used my Smarty number - the Tesco Sim in the box, that the previous owner never touched, does not have any service. I'm really confused and frustrated. I'd rather just sort it out myself and get the phone going since my old phone is very broken and I just need one ASAP. I think my window to file a PayPal dispute is closing, and I have never had to do it so I am not sure how they go. Would greatly appreciate any advice on what I should be doing! Thank you.5.7KViews1like4CommentsAvoiding a loop activating a 'Bonus SIM"
I have an existing (UK) SMARTY account and SIM. I want to add the 'Bonus SIM' to my account (using in a different phone). Instructions from Support pages just lead to an endless loop... Activating a spare/bonus SIM or a SIM bought in a shop or other online supplier Have a SMARTY SIM and want to activate it? Here is how to do it. After entering the SIM code, you are prompted to Login (NOT mentioned in the instructions). Then Steps 4. Choose a plan and enter your details, and 5. Make a payment for your chosen plan, which isn't offered. I've tried different approaches but nothing seems to allow me to activate/add the Bonus SIM. Guidance appreciated.5.1KViews2likes10CommentsMultiple Sims on one plan
Is it possible to assign more than one sim to the same plan, retaining the data? I was wondering if it is possible to create more than one sim on one plan, as this would make it much easier to use on multiple devices. instead of turning on a hotspot of something similar, it would be much easier just to have a separate sim, put it into another device (for example an IPad) and have it use data from the same package and plan. if this is a feature, please let me know, and if not then please make it one as I'm sure this would benefit many people like myself.3.4KViews0likes1CommentSwapping a mobile sim with a data only sim
Hi, don't know if there is anyone out there in the community who can help me. I have a SMARTY sim card which I use in my iPad, unfortunately I had ordered it before SMARTY offered data only deals and my iPad sim card deal is actually meant for a mobile phone, with unlimited data, text and calls at a special price of £16 per month (down from £20). Its worked well for me on my iPad, but the biggest downside of this is that when I receive a text message from SMARTY it attempts to send it to the phone number attached to the sim card, which will not work on my iPad! I now want to swap my mobile THREE contract over to SMARTY as well, but I am in a quandary as to what contract to set up, as I'd like to correct the issue of my iPad working on a mobile phone sim, instead of a data only sim. A while back, a SMARTY advisor told me to order a data only sim card and to swap the mobile sim from my iPad into my actual mobile and use the new data only sim in my iPad. But the problem is that I also want to swap across my old mobile phone number as well! Will ordering a data only sim card and swapping the mobile sim from my ipad to my mobile work? And will I be able to swap out the mobile sim number for my previous mobile number, even though its been "used" in my iPad for a while? I know I could cancel my old mobile only sim and just start new contracts on both devices, but I don't want to lose the discounted monthly price I have on the mobile sim card. Any help appreciated.2.1KViews0likes1CommentSim card just stopped working. Showing “No SIM”

Hi. I have put my SMARTY Sim card into a Doro 6520 flip phone (using a Nano to Micro Sim adapter). The phone won't recognise the SIM at all; red cross in the top left and SOS call only in the display. I believe the Doro 6520 is a 3G phone. Any tips gratefully received. Thank you 😊1.2KViews0likes4Comments
