Hi, I have someone who calls me all the time when they know I am busy and can't answer the phone. Every time without fail, they leave childish voicemail messages which get annoying. I don't want to block this person as I do need to be able to contact them - just at times when I'm free from my schedule. Is there a way to block individual contacts from leaving voicemail messages without turning off my voicemail or blocking the person? Thank you!Solved6.4KViews0likes3CommentsUnusual high amount of calls from businesses
Hi everyone I've been getting more than a few nuisance calls lately since I switched to Smarty. I don't know if it's just coincidence, and it probably is nothing to do with the switch, as I am using the same number I was using with my previous network. My latest call is from "Manor Farm House" - 01747 811974 and when I answered it, a man said "I've just walked through your door Mr (my surname) and there's no one here, so (swear word I don't think I can say on here) off"... this immediately panicked me as I was home alone at the time and the call happened literally a few seconds after I entered my house. I have no idea how they know my phone number, I can only guess they know my surname from online profiles Another call I had was from "Robert Bowring Butchers Bolsover" - 01246 824238... strangely I got this call at 17:36 yesterday and according to Google, this butchers shop I've never heard of or visited closed at 3pm yesterday so they wouldn't be open at 17:36. Unless it was a spoofed number or this butchers shop isn't a genuine butchers?? I also had a call from "O2" which was a private number. For this one I was bored anyway so went through with them giving false details, logic being the more of their time I waste, someone else more vulnerable than me isn't being scammed in that few minutes. I made up names and address etc when asked for them, and once they asked for my postcode I said "my postcode is 'I know you are a scammer'" and they told me to (swear word I don't think I can say on here) off... I usually use Google Pixel Call Screen for these calls, but I am waiting for a phone call from something I've applied to and I don't know the number it will be coming from. Usually I don't get so many, has anyone else had an influx in nuisance calls lately?! I am aware the easiest solution would be to get a new phone number, but I've had this one for years and it's linked to so many services it would be more effort than it's worth to change it Thanks in advance for any help!6.1KViews0likes2Comments[Feedback] Parental Controls - seeking feedback and ideas for the SMARTY app
Hello SMARTY Community, We always love to hear your input, and right now we are exploring ideas about helping parents to keep their children safe online. As with most potential online dangers, there are several risks such as: 1. Cyberbullying, Sexting - anything to do with how your children are spoken to online 2. Exposure to pornography, violent content - anything to do with content they see online 3. Privacy and scams - anything that involves your children's personal data being targeted by scammers Which one of these threats concerns you the most? How do you make sure your child can enjoy the internet safely? We look forward to hearing your opinions and suggestions. Thank you! Team SMARTY5.7KViews3likes5Comments[Open Discussion] How do you control content on your child's device?
I’ve been looking into the best way to make devices around the house (Phones & Tablets) safe for my child to use. E.g., Blocking explicit content. I thought I’d share these step-by-step on how to do it, in case anyone found themselves in a similar spot. Block Content on iPhones & iPads Blocking explicit content (Music, Videos, Apps): Go to Settings and tap Screen Time. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions, then tap Content Restrictions. Choose the settings you want for each feature or setting under Allowed Store Content. Blocking explicit websites: Go to Settings and tap Screen Time. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and enter your Screen Time passcode. Tap Content Restrictions, then tap Web Content. Choose Unrestricted Access, Limit Adult Websites or Allowed Websites. How to block explicit websites on Android (Google Chrome Web Browser) On your Android phone or tablet, open chrome Tap the three dots symbol and select settings Look for Safe Search, then tap it Turn the Explicit results filter on. If anyone else has some tips on other ways to child-proof phones & tablets, I’d appreciate some pointers. Have a great day! Hi I recently switch to smarty and used a pac code to transfer my number. It took a couple of days but when it completed, I got a text saying your transfers complete but address to a different name, yet on my smarty profile it was the correct number. I then suddenly had voicemails, missed calls, text to pick up parcels, bank notifications not related to me. So I called a friend and to my surprise I came up as a different number for them. I was a bit shocked that this would be possible. To me it seemed like the equivalent of logging into your email account and you end up in someone else's. No idea if someone temporarily got my number. I quickly contact smarty and they told me to order a new sim and my number would temporarily be suspended, and it was probably just a technical error. I got rid of the current one. The new sim arrived and everything's back to normal. Aside from the inconvenience I'm surprised, idk what would happen if the wrong person got it. I like to listen to a lot of technology podcast and this is one of those scenarios I would like to know how's that possible?2KViews0likes1CommentPrivacy and Security

To activate the settings i did the card process six times & I thought it was my card or the website. but no, it needs to be a credit card not debit card. SMARTY have taken £6 in activation feels and not refunded it when it states it would be refunded afterwards. When should it be refunded. thanks1.5KViews2likes4CommentsIs it illegal to let a 3rd part listen to a voicemail message?
Someone left me a voice message they then found out I had played their message to a 3rd party. They told me it is illegal to play the message I received from them to a 3rd party. Are they correct? Who owns the message? I live in the UK1.5KViews0likes2Comments
