WiFi Calling Not Working

My WiFi calling isn't working. I'm connected to WiFi but if I put my phone into aeroplane mode (while still connected to WiFi) and try to make a call it comes up with a message saying "turn off aeroplane mode or connect to a WiFi network to make calls". WiFi is working fine and has been rebooted. Have this issue on any WiFi network (I'm with BT, my parents are with Virgin and I have the issue at both places).
Anyone else having issues?

Yes. I have an iPhone 13 Pro. I’ve just joined smarty and am having issues with wifi calling reliability. I think calls aren’t getting to me when I’m on wifi at home and the 4g signal is weak ie the weak mobile signal is prioritised over wifi calling. So I’ve automated the phone going into flight mode with wifi on when connected to wifi to force wifi calling. So far this seems to work somewhat but v early days. However, sometimes the wifi calling words just disappear (at the top where smarty would be written normally) and if I try to make a call then it says turn aeroplane mode off or connect to wifi. I might just have to disable wifi calling entirely! Maybe try turning aeroplane mode off briefly then back on again (probably won’t work but worth trying). Failing that try switching wifi calling off and back on again in settings (whilst aeroplane mode is on and wifi connected) and see if that kicks it into action.
Tried both but neither worked unfortunately. The fact that you're getting the same issue on a different brand of phone would suggest it's an issue their end, not ours.
