Wi Fi Calling no longer works as of 5th June 2025
Hi gang, my wifi calling stopped working in our home. Since approx 5th of June 2025.
(I been using wifi calling past 5 months from home with Smarty no issues)
I have chatted with Smarty team, the experience was ok actually worked for me.
They replied with "To summarise, we’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps and updated the APN settings. Unfortunately, this hasn’t resolved the issue. Therefore, I’ve raised a case on your behalf for further investigation."
I then called a friend who has no reception in their home, has a Smarty sim, he tried WiFi calling. Guess what he said it's not working it did before. Is there a theme here ?
The only change recently is this 31st May

Here is the solution for the issue no wiFi calling as of 11th June 2025
IOS only, same idea would apply to Android phones. (android users please add) I went to settings / general/about- then your prompt to update "Network Provider Settings Update" proceed to update. Once done turn off phone restart. Job done.

have had issues since with Smarty.. After 2 hours on chat to no resolution. In frustration deleted the APN and restarted the phone. Reconnect to a three.co.uk settings and WIFI calling was enabled. and worked....network help specialist was useless... and after I told him is now going to suggest it! will be moving network to a vodaphone provider. The update to combined mast sharing is taking to long...
I had the same problem with Wi-Fi Calling a while back — turns out the fix was simple.
On iPhone, go to Settings → General → About, and you should get a prompt for a Network Provider Settings Update. Do the update, restart your phone, and Wi-Fi Calling should come back straight away.Also, just a heads-up — switching to Vodafone won’t really take you far. They’re now pretty much joined with Three through mast-sharing and the merger setup, so you’re still under the same network umbrella, just wearing a different badge.
Same here, no Wi-Fi calling . Update just tried settings.. general.. about, and there’s was another update network box to click. Now working after restart ( iPhone)

"Network Provider Settings Update" not an avaialble option on my iPhone??

Cannot get WiFi calling to work on iPhone 15. Its never worked, software is up to date etc. Can anyone help please.

Hello John,
The way I’d approach the issue is by eliminating the likely causes one by one.
A simple question to start:
Before the iPhone 15, did you have a stable Wi-Fi connection and working Wi-Fi calling?
Presumably this isn’t your first phone.If Wi-Fi calling was working on your previous phone, then the issue is likely within the settings on the iPhone 15.
If your previous phone was also an iPhone and on Smarty, try this:
Sit both phones side by side, and go into Settings > Mobile Service on each.
Compare them — make sure Wi-Fi Calling is enabled and Mobile Data is set up correctly on the new device.
Let us know what you find — it helps narrow things down quickly.
Has anyone got their WiFi calling working? I have rebooted router and iPhone several times, toggled WiFi calling on phone. I have 64.2 network setting. It worked last week temporarily but I notice it’s gone again (zero phone signal here)

Ok gang here is the solution I love a problem that no one can resolve. Worked it out on my own. First off this is iPhone only, same idea would apply to Android phones. (android users please add) I went to settings / general/about- then your prompt to update "Network Provider Settings Update" proceed to update. Once done turn off phone restart. I switched off wifi and tried to gain a signal with smarty. No signal here. Went outside got one and came back in turned on wifi. Tested wifi calling all works now. Job done.
