What's the best way to use Smarty in Australia?
I will use my daughters internet while staying with her in Australia, but might need my phone outside the house to ring for an Uber, restaurant booking, etc.
Whats the best way to be able to do this?

DonaldP_1319161 The only way to use your phone over there will be to add credit as an add on and then pay for any usage out of that.
The prices for Roaming are given in the Smarty Price Guide. Trouble is, calls cost 50p per minute and texts are 20p each.
If you have a fairly modern phone, you could use an international data esim. Many companies offer these - I have used Airalo successfully and now use Roamless because it charges on a different basis and leaves me with any credit for the next trip.
You would be able to book an Uber via the app using data (it worked for me in Australia) and many businesses now have a WhatsApp presence so that you can contact them using data.
With Roamless, it is also possible to make a chargeable voicecall via their app (it does not broadcast your personal number though)
