What's the best way to keep my sim active?
Moving abroad for at least 2 years (outside the EU). Want to keep my uk sim active.

As far as I can see, your account will be terminated if not used for 220 days: https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/952720-how-do-i-pause-my-plan
This looks like you get 180 days of no plan and then a final warning email at 40 days.
So, if you are away for 2 years (24 months), you would need to buy the smallest plan at the start of month 7, 13 and 19 before starting back to normal at month 25. You can purchase the smallest plans while away, so it would not be too expensive.

You don’t need to buy a plan, you can do a cash top up, send a text in month 6,12,18 & 24.
