Voicemail needs your name
Is there a way to avoid giving your name on the voicemail? It seems to be compulsory
I frequently help my mother with tech problems and advice and I am trying to teach her about phishing etc.
she gets a lot of spam calls, she now knows to send unrecognised numbers to VM but she gave her full name on the voicemail, I have overwritten this with another random word but periodically the mailbox seems to reset and she will go through the automated set up steps and give her full name again.
I feel like Smarty should not be encouraging anyone to give personal information out like this but it seems that you can’t bypass this.
do they have a forum to recommend improvements?

Ell_2031908 Has your mother tried asking smarty to reset her voicemail - after explaining the problem?
This is an unusual problem and may need a fix. I have not left my name and my voicemail simply tells people that the caller is not available.
