Using Smarty in the USA

Hi all!

My apologies as this is likely the 1000 time this has been asked.

I just needed to clarify sorry, but as long as I have updated my phones access point details accordingly with mob.asm.net etc, all I need to do before travelling is to buy a £10/15 add-on and any allowance would come out of this? Is that correct?

Apologies, but just need to check for my own peace of mind, so many thanks for any help!

Ty!

    Hiya!

That's great, thanks for the insight

I actually have a roaming data plan through my bank, but just wanted a bit of credit for a quick call etc if needed. Had some issues with an old bank on a past trip and could have done with a buffer in case I needed a quick call.

It's reassuring if nothing else, so really appreciate the reply. Many thanks again!

    Ty!

    NTyler_AFC Yes, that sounds correct.

You will find that any credit is eaten up very quickly while in the USA because data is charged at 10p per megabyte - that's £1024 per Gigabyte!!!! Eye-watering!!!!

Consider getting an international Esim instead (if your phone accepts them). As an example, if you put credit on an Esim from Roamless, you would be charged only $2.45 for that same Gigabyte
