Using a vehicle Tracker with SMARTY SIM
I have a simple vehicle tracker. I usually insert a SIM, and it works. It does not have a user interface. The SIM works great on my phone.
However, if I insert a SMARTY SIM, it does not work. Does anyone have an idea why and how to fix this?

luganoa When you say that you usually insert a SIM, was that the SIM that was put in originally?
I am wondering whether the tracker is looking for the same mobile network as the original SIM i.e. it is set to the wrong APN setting.
Admittedly I am no expert, but usually when people have these problems with devices such as routers, it is because they have not set the APN to mob.asm.net and I wonder if you can perhaps access a set of instructions for the tracker online. Normally a router setting page is accessed via a web browser on that network, if that helps you at all.
After a bit of research, it seems that some trackers use different types of sim to give a better connection to multiple networks somehow. Don't forget that you may hit a 'dead spot' where there is no Smarty signal occasionally and so the tracker will be of no use then.
