SMARTY Social tariff

It’s great to see that SMARTY are now offering a social tariff.  What is disappointing to see is that this is a “one size fits all” approach ie it is £12 for unlimited text, calls and data, and there are no other options.

It would be great to see variable options here e.g. Lite, Medium etc… so, there is a way to reduce the costs even further.  Many places offer free Wi-Fi now, so paying the premium for unlimited data can often be offset by this.

The unlimited data on the social tariff makes sense in regards to the increase in companies requiring candidates to do zoom/online job interviews.

To be fair, there are a lot of cheaper plan options available already. The downside is that they obviously cannot include exactly the same features. As you say though, the use of free wifi needs to be taken into account.

How many people really do need unlimited data? It is quite easy to view your data usage history on your account and then buy an appropriate plan. Chances are that it could well be less money.
