Roaming in Poland - data works, but no calling

Hi, my wife went to Poland, and the service works very strangely there. She's got internet access without issues, but she can't call anyone (neither PL nor UK numbers). She can receive calls though, ...

    I have contacted support, and they have solved the problem. To all that may experience a similar issue: it was the network operator. Smarty supports a subset of operators in each country, and my wife's phone was automatically choosing the one that wasn't supported. What was needed was to disable automatic operator selection, and choosing manually one that is supported by Smarty in Poland. That's it. 

    Unfortunately, Android does not have an option to disable specific operators, so we will have to change that option back and forth when travelling between countries.

Thanks for letting us know about this. We’re sorry to hear your wife is having trouble making calls while in Poland—that’s definitely not the experience we want for our customers.

When travelling in the EU, you should normally be able to call both UK numbers and local numbers in the country you’re visiting, so this isn’t expected behaviour. Please contact our customer support team via chat at www.smarty.co.uk/contact and they’ll be able to investigate further.
