iPhone 16E and eSIM

Apple are saying that the iPhone 16E (recently released this week) no longer supports physical SIMs. Will this mean SMARTY will now support eSIMs?

I have just received iphon 16e , tried to put in sim (nano) from old iphone 8, it doesnt fit, the 16e sim tray doesnt have the notch and the old sim is maybe only a mm too big. Not sure what to do…

    @gez  Have you definitely fitted it into the correct side of the tray? All nano sims are equal in size. (Does that sound like a propaganda message for a political party?)
