How come the Honor Magic4 Lite 5G doesn't support 4G Calling on SMARTY?
Hi So this device has the capabilites as I have tested this with an EE sim, and VoLTE comes up but on SMARTY it doesn't? The list doesn't even display its compatible, but shows the 4G version is? ...
Its got the hardware for the functions, just not enabled.
That's bizarre to me. Honestly imagine spending £800+ on a top end Android device, get home and then find out its not officially supported on SMARTY. That's a straight up scam.
This is exactly what has happened to me. I have had a trusty reliable Sony Xperia 1ii for 4 years. I switch to smarty as Giffgaff seems to have sank to the bottom of the pile for data provision. Find out it's not compatible with Smarty. Decide to update to a recent foldable Honour device, only to find that's got the same issues. It's almost like Smarty are picking and choosing what phones are allowed to be used on their network!
