Lyft / Citibank bike rental in NYC
Lyft app won’t connect - the 6 digit code won’t connect through - the message says that my phone number is not supported.
what can I do?

Thats a Lyft issue, I experienced the same in Phoenix earlier this year.
What can you do ?
If you have an esim capable phome, download an esim from 'Tello' or 'US Mobile'
US Mobile offers a free trial too.
If you dont have an esim compatible phone, get a physical SIM card in Wahlgreens, CVS or Best Buy. *YOU would of course need an unlocked phone for this option*
Walmart doesnt stock physical SIM cards, but does sell a range of pre paid phones, at varying price levels.
Your choice of course will very much depend on both your phone's esim capability, or otherwise, and your length of stay in the USA
Although 'US Mobile' does offer a free trial, if you decide to go for a paid plan, use code "XMOMCRO" to get $10 off.
Like Smarty, both 'Tello' and 'US Mobile" only offer 30 day rolling plans, so there is no long term lock in.
