Help Needed with my new eSim.

I’ve just recenty joined Smarty and have an eSim.  Now when I’m away from home and my wifi I’m unable to use some of my apps or brows the web.  I’m receiving a notification telling me I have no internet connection!  This is not what I expected from using a Smarty sim.

i also now have 2 mobile numbers which I do not want, a primary and personal one.

i’m very disappointed in my new Smarty sim and wishing I hadn’t moved from my previous provider.  Can anyone advise me please?

Sorry for the confusion about away from home question.  I was local to my home, about 1/4 of a mile away and I couldn’t get any internet connections on my phone.  Very frustrating!  I’ve been checking today whilst out and about and it now appears to be OK, but I’ll keep monitoring it.

My contact telephone number was initially showing 2 mobile numbers. The Primary number was the same number I transported from my previous provider and my mobile number which I’ve had for years.  There was a new number showing which was named personal and I had to toggle between both numbers to make calls.  The only number I could call out on was the personal one, which was the new number, however, that has now disappeared from my options and my old number/ original number is now showing as my primary and personal number.

I only have one sim, which is an eSim. I’ve been receiving messages from Smarty since Friday last week telling me my mobile number has been successfully transported from my previous provider, but I couldn’t use it to make calls until today, also very frustrating.

I’m assuming everything has just taken time to settle down from when I first received my new eSim.  I’ll continue to monitor how my phone is behaving with this new eSim meantime.

    Thank you for your response.

AnneFor_4009350 Away from home in the UK or abroad?

If you are roaming in the EU, you need to change your APN setting to mob.asm.net for it to work.

I'm not sure what you mean by having two mobile numbers, primary and personal. The sim was originally allocated a random number and that changed once you ported in your number from the previous network.

Does your phone show two sims, one standard and one esim? You can usually toggle them on and off.
