Changing mobile number - getting too many robo calls
Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to change the mobile number for one's account? Looks like my number has hit a robo call list and I'm getting 2/3 calls from Chinese robo callers per day. Would be be easier to just get a new SIM and close down the existing account?

Having known someone who did this, just think about possible hassle, by way of having to tell your GP, bank, employer, local council, etc your new number.
Personally, I never answer numbers that aren’t in my contacts. If it’s an important and legitimate call, such as from my local eye hospital recently, a voicemail is left.

I agree, this is my preferred approach, ignore callers who are not in your contact list. They can then be directed to voicemail where they can leave a message.
You can also help by reporting the numbers, though nobody really cares.
Does anybody know why there are so many "Chinese" callers?

Hi PaulSwa_2087306 it might be best to speak to a customer service rep on the live chat if they're able to change the number and keep your existing account intact - I don't think this is possible as their systems are quite simple flows. But since you are intending on changing the number, you can just cancel the auto-renewal through the app/web dashboard, for that number and then sign up with a fresh SIM card again (using a different email) and that will achieve the same result. You then won't be charged again for the old number and that account gets closed automatically after 220 days.
Bit of an extra hurdle going through the whole sign-up process again, but, it can be done.
