In Canada, data while roaming will cost you 25pence per Megabyte(Page 18&19) - roughly £256 for a Gigabyte - OUCH!!!! You would need an out-of-plan add on to pay for it (Page 17) and you add that via your Account Dashboard.

Assuming that your phone is reasonably modern, have you considered a Roaming Esim. I regularly use Roamless and they charge $4.45 per Megabyte for data (currently about £2.40) - it works via their app. There are plenty of other choices and different types of plan, but I'm pretty certain that any of them would be better than the Roaming Rate.
