Account paused for no reason.
Woke up this morning not being able to make calls or texts. I logged onto my smarty app using WiFi and it says account paused. All my payment details are up to date and I even re added them again to make sure. I pay with a credit card so there is no issue with there not being enough money in the account. What's going on?
Has this happened to anyone else?

My payment went through to my usual valid bank card at 07:54 AM.

Seemed to be resolved for me just before 8AM this morning - having been cut off for a payment problem their end just after midnight. Rebooting the Smarty app means it now shows okay instead of ‘account paused’. Caused stress and hassle though.

Payment has just been taken from my bank account at 7:50. It appears there’s been a glitch with their payment processing system for those whose payments come off on the last day of the month, as both my parents have recently switched to smarty and their payments come off on the 1st of the month, and both came off successfully this morning.

I’m in the same boat. Hopefully it’s a glitch but I deffo need my phone for work today as I’m a lone worker in the community. I tried the online chat but it wouldn’t find anything so will have to wait til 8 am. I’m not impressed as for 2 years it’s all gone very well.

Check your bank account if you’ve got online banking, as payment has just been taken from mine at 7:50, and I see someone else has as well in the comments below

Same here. Updated my payment options. Attempted to turn auto renew off and on.
Auto renew just sends me to the help page.I was using PayPal if that helps.

Same here checked my account my payment is set up so it auto renews on the last day of the month just checked it didn’t come out could this be because there’s only 28 days in Feb ? Surely not

Glad it’s not just me. I updated my payment details a week ago but kept it on auto renew and thought I’d done something wrong! Same text message. Need to be away from home today and using google maps… bit worrying

Same. I got a message saying ‘couldn’t connect your data request.’ The payment hasn’t been taken, I can’t renew, but I restarted my phone and can use my data.
