43gb of data in 2 hours

My daughters phone has ran out of data yesterday saying she used 43gb of data in 2 hours while not doing much.

she barely uses 1/2gb a day for the past year and apparently 43gb after coming out of school.

is there a customer care number that’s available to find out why this happened.

I have checked the phone but it’s only showing used app data from a lifetime as not been reset in a while.

i know watching reels willl use data but all the 43gb of the last of the data was used between 4 and 6pm and I wouldn’t have thought even watching full hd videos would use so much in such a small time.

TimBark_2582435  As Nathan  says, the phone should show data usage split by app. On an iPhone, this comes under Settings>Mobile Service and scroll down.

Hello, We can only tell you the total data used. We are unable to identify why or what used the data, The best option for investigating this is on the device settings. If you would like to contact the team you can reach them here from 8am-8pm: Contact us - FAQ | SMARTY

app refresh is set to WiFi is fact all the device settings are set to only use WiFi for backups and updates and she’s only used barely 1/2 gb a day in a year so 40 odd gb in 2 hours is not normal.

So I chatted with customer services and they basically told me tough she must’ve had a few app updates and there is nothing they can do as they can only see what I can and to buy more data if I need some.

Im reluctant to add data to it now

TimBark_2582435  It does seem strange. Can you see from the Account Dashboard what the normal mobile data usage is on her account? Are you saying that it is normally very low and then jumped to an extremely high level on the one day?

Is there any chance that a person/people were hotspotting to her phone?
