Re: Visual Voicemail
New2Smarty, RCS is supported in GBR with at least com.google.android.apps.messaging's messages.android_20250908_01_RC00.phone.openbeta_dynamic (289312100) update on my Fairphone 5. For everyone else, see https://community.smarty.co.uk/t5/chats-hacks/visual-voicemail/m-p/67/highlight/true#M16 for the official response to this feature request.117Views0likes0CommentsRe: Support
MSF, luckily, the e-mail address still works regardless. I presume that they merely wish to discourage it. MSF wrote: rokejulianlockh I always do tag people in when I reply to them. That's my signature. Blame the forum software for not making that obvious, although I'll attempt to make it more explicit.186Views1like0CommentsI should get perfect 4G, per the tracker. I don't even get 3G, in 2024.
SMARTY intends to disable their 3G network in +2024, per https://smarty.co.uk/3g-switch-off. This is problematic for me, because 3G is all that I occasionally receive. However, entering NR11 7HP into https://smarty.co.uk/coverage-checker demonstrates that I should be able to access “Excellent” 4G (I presume LTE?) coverage. This isn't true, despite https://smarty.co.uk/network-status-checker stating that the network in that location is operable. I barely get 3G for £30 a month somewhere where SMARTY reports it should be excellent. Should I take this up with the Ombudsman? Make this make sense.43Views0likes0CommentsProvide TOTP 2-Factor Authentication (2FA).
When authenticating, I'm forced to utilize e-mail or SMS. Both are inconvenient. For instance, the e-mail RFCs mandate that the expected period of time necessary for an e-mail to be delivered is 2 days, because it was designed at a time when physical mail was still normal. SMS is obviously inconvenient due to its reliance upon cellular provider subscription, even for those using SMS over Wi-Fi, and tower availability for those not. Additionally, I have to access the software which interacts with those services to see the code, and then manually duplicate it into the form. TOTP remediates all of these problems: it operates offline, and can be autofilled by my password manager (Bitwarden) meaning I don't need to switch contexts.82Views0likes0Comments- 422Views0likes0Comments
Can't request SIM card replacement for self, only family account manager.
When visiting https://smarty.co.uk/dashboard/request-new-sim the confirmation page states that I am requesting a new SIM for the family account holder rather than myself. How do I request a SIM card replacement for myself?21Views0likes0Comments
