Re: Is congestion common on SMARTY 4g network?
I'm given "congestion" as an excuse a lot with problems in my area. I don't even know it it's true, as it has been happening for months. Even COVID was given as an excuse, and if you knew my area, you'd find that hard to believe.12KViews0likes2Comments3G to be removed? This is why it shouldn't!
I was on the phone to a tech support company in London. With 4G enabled, the call cut out every 2min 5s. When I turned on 3G only, I was able to complete the call (a whopping 25min). I can see the call logs, and SMARTY, you can too. So tell me again why it's a good idea to turn off 3G? And yes, 4G is "supported" in my area.3.4KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Can I send text messages from another SIM in the group plan?
I see. It's mainly to offer backup data for my router and to send alerts out, rather than anything strictly business (i.e. marketing). But looking at the costs involved, it may be worth looking for a cheap PAYG SIM.2.7KViews0likes1CommentRe: Appalling signal
It's always worth checking the signal in the area before you make a purchase, but TBH, I've found Smarty/3 to be the worst for signal in the areas I've lived in (and I've moved to different counties). Half-the-time it's down to bottlenecking because there are so many other users in the area (or the reason I've been told).2.2KViews0likes0CommentsCan I send text messages from another SIM in the group plan?
I am thinking about setting up another SIM in my group plan. I want to use it for an LTE backup for my router (in case I disconnect). I use this for business, so it will mainly be used to text me when the router disconnects for whatever reason (currently it only emails me, but if there is no internet, it cannot send the email). Now, since this would be a "business SIM", I was wondering if there is a way to send texts from this SIM outside of the router (it does have the functionality); perhaps as some form of a relay (which would be helpful to use it as a business line) to receive calls as well?2.7KViews0likes3Comments
