Okay @VinceVa_1817176, Turkey is not an EU member state, so you cannot use your plan's allowances if you're roaming in Turkey.

Buy an add-on to use your SMARTY SIM in Turkey, so you can PAYG while roaming in Turkey, which is in Roaming 1 charge band (see page 18 & 19 at https://smarty.co.uk/priceguide).

As well as what @Chalkychap says, try to use free wifi connections where possible. On a reasonable connection, you may be able to have WhatsApp contact instead of expensive calls at 50p per min.

@VinceVa_1817176  @Chalkychap  All very strange! I was roaming in Greece and we have now sailed to Turkey but I am still able to connect to the Greek network at the minute, much to my surprise.

 I think it may well depend upon how far away from Greek territory you are. I suspect that I may be connecting to one of the masts in Greek Islands which are close e.g. Samos.
