Although roaming settings may be on, i would ensure the device is set to the correct APN settings. See this article for more information: Setting up your phone to work abroad | SMARTY Help Centre

My Roaming disaster.
Second time abroad. This time to Brussels. No roaming - no calls - no data - no sms, UNTIL the last day of the trip when I arrived at the airport to leave😅🤣 and when inside the airport, i got a text welcoming me to Belgium 🤣😅. No phone changes made at all. APN and roaming are always left on with my phone matching the guidance on SMARTY app and website. Phone signal strength meter showed full bars. People in my group with me all the time, on three and vodafone: roaming worked fine. How can anyone with sense rely on SMARTY when they travel to a major European capital?!
