Hello Everyone
I have just used WebChat but forgot to ask an important question.
My financial situation has changed. I pay for my monthly allowance with my debit card and need to change this to PayPoint / barcode method. I was informed via WebChat I can top up at PayPoint and auto renewal will take the funds on the payment date.
However, my debit card is still on my account (no funds in the account). My question is: will SMARTY attempt to take the payment twice: from the debit card and the top up funds? Should I remove my debit card from the account because it will no longer be used for payment (I have read on this site how to do this)?
I have also been informed by WebChat that someone else can pay the allowance via their debit card if they have my account details to sign in (it's my brother so very trustworthy), but I would prefer to do this if I can. This idea is a last resort.
Thanking you in advance.

@CeeJay Hopefully this article will cover it for you: https://help.smarty.co.uk/en/articles/952717-updating-your-payment-method

No it didn't. Not at all. I don't think you read my message well. But thanks for passing the buck.

@CeeJay I suggest that you get right back onto the web chat with Smarty and ask the question you forgot rather than spend time being rude.
I can read very well thanks. I would remind you that we are volunteers on here who try to assist quickly, but we re not paid to solve problems when you forgot to ask.

My oh my. Look who hasn't had their first decaff of the day.
Firstly, I was not being rude but stating an obvious. And even though you are a volunteer who assisted quickly it would have been better, for me at least, if you hadn't even bothered because you weren't helpful at all. If you didn't know the answer, which you clearly didn't, then you shouldn't have replied.

@CeeJay Thing is that many, many people do appreciate a signpost as they don't find/read the help articles.
Since you are smart, you obviously did....but forgot to put the question to the people who deal with accounts and definitely do know.
Not being a clairvoyant, it's hard to know which type of person is posting the question.
Who knows, with a full caffeine shot, you might have remembered to ask the Smarty agent.
Anyway, I can inscribe you in my little black book of people not to bother trying to assist in the future.....it currently is a very thin book and hardly used.
