Porting problem

Ported old number now incoming calls going directly to old network voicemail

    Good advice from jassingh and MSF 

    Networks do advise that porting can take up to 17.00 hours, with others (Vodafone) saying it can take up to midnight. 

    When I ported my number to Smarty in June, when the porting process was complete, I received both a text and email to tell me that the port was complete. I then switched my phone off and back on again, and everything was working as it should.

    JohnQui_2273358 In addition to what jassingh says, also may be worth turning phone off and then on again to try and force it to link to the network correctly.

    JohnQui_2273358 when was the port completed? Just now? Sometimes it takes time for the new number to settle on the new network and for everything to route correctly inc. calls & texts.

    Might be worth pinging a message on the web chat incase they are able to reset your voicemail and get it working quicker? I checked my mailbox the day after porting and it seemed to work in the end.
