What's the probability of me getting 5G signal inside my home?
When I check the Smarty 5G coverage it shows my home is in the light red area, meaning "outdoors only". But in reality what's the probability of me getting the 5G signal inside my home? I only need 5G inside the bedrooms and the living room.
I want to use the smarty 5G from my phone as my own personal 5G hotspot for my home wifi because BT are taking forever to upgrade to full fibre.

Alexande_694405 I’m in a 5G ‘outdoor only’ area. My 5G router is normally positioned near the front of the house where it gets a couple of bars of signal. It just about clings onto the signal with one bar if I move it more towards the centre of the house. This is with a 3 SIM, but signal-wise it would be identical with Smarty.
Obviously the coverage map is just a computer prediction.. in some areas coverage is going to be better than expected, in some areas it’s going to be worse.
Luckily, you are only tied in for a month with Smarty, so you won’t lose much by just trying it out and seeing how you get on. If it’s terrible you can even ask for a refund within the 14 day cooling off period.
Alexande_694405 Almost impossible to say. Why wouldn't a 4G signal be sufficient though if the speed were good?
4G is not good. When I run a speed test with my phones 4g I'm getting like 4mb down which is awful. My current bt WiFi is like 28mb down.
Alexande_694405 But who's to say that you will get a much better 5G signal where you are?
If Smarty themselves say probably outdoor only, it is unlikely to be a whole lot better than that because, if it were, I'm sure they would shout about it.
