Using internet in France
I thought my plan would cover internet use in France- particularly so I could use google maps as a satnav. Do I need a special plan or add on for this? TIA

As Chalkychap says, you can use your existing plan while Roaming in the EU subject to the 12Gb data limit. You will need to make sure that your phone settings are correct - https://smarty.co.uk/roaming - "Before You Go"
Worth a mention - if you are in the EU but near the border with a non EU country, make sure that you do not connect to any network in a non EU country as your plan will not work - I'm thinking of Switzerland here.

Google Maps allows the use of offline maps, so you could download maps for France, and store them on your phone before travelling to France.
Then you wouldn't need worry about mobile network reception or your roaming data usage, while using the satnav on your phone. I hope you enjoy your time in France EileenC_1551868.

You can use your SMARTY plan's mobile data while roaming in France EileenC_1551868. Mobile data is limited to a maximum of 12GB while roaming in the EU. If you need more than 12GB/month, you'll need to buy an add-on.
With SMARTY you can continue to use your allowance in EU countries to make calls and send texts to the UK and you can use up to 12GB of data to get online.
