Unable to call Sky landline
Hi
Rookie here, joined Smarty and moved to Sky broadband & viop just a week ago.
Ever since then unable to call my landline!
Others on smarty mobile can't call, it just disconnets without ringing!
Outgoing calls are okay, the issue is it's just specifically smarty mobile to sky landline , as GiffGaff and Lebara callers are okay!
Looking around, it appears that the problem was reported around November 2024 (from sky community) but I can't see any solution or hacks.
Have informed both smarty and sky and hoping for a resolution... As it will need both Sky and Smarty working together for the benefit of their customers.
Telephony is a utility 😄
Has anyone had the same issue and has it been fixed?
Hopefully this is resolved soon or I will be moving to another mobile network and broadband providers.

Hello. I think I have a similar issue. My parents are on BeFibre and I can't dial their landline from my Smarty phone, I get a dialing tone which rings, but their phone doesnt ring. If I use my Vodafone phone I can call them. My Dad has tried calling his own BeFibre landline from his Three phone and it too doesnt connect. I assume as Smarty uses Three, this is a bigger issue.

Smarty support concluded this (below) which I'm not sure I agree. I will approach Sky also but expect them to bounce it straight back at Smarty!
"If this issue was limited to one SMARTY number being unable to call a single landline, it could point to a SMARTY-related problem. However, since you’ve mentioned that all three SMARTY SIMs cannot reach that specific landline, it doesn’t appear to be a SMARTY issue. If you’re able to call other landline numbers successfully, the problem is likely on Sky’s side possibly a setting that’s blocking incoming calls. I’d highly recommend contacting Sky to have this checked further"

I confirm this is an issue we have three Smarty mobiles none of which can call the my mothers 'landline' which is Sky Full Fibre with handset connected to Sky Max Hub. Symptom is no ringing tone but displays 'Calling'. This did work when the Sky service was originally installed but at some point in the last 6months(?) it has failed. The Sky connected handset can dial out and does receive calls from landlines and other mobile services.

I wish I'd known about this before I upgraded to Sky Full Fibre.
There's now at least 3 phones in our family that can't call home.
I don't want to change mobile provider, but it might not be a choice if this isn't fixed.
