No, I have ended up keeping the new number, Smarty kept telling me that no request had been received, but it showed each day on my phone screen that it would be done imminently and quoted my old number as the one that was to be transferred. I was assured it would only be a couple of days but the screen showed a gradually extending transfer date. I ended up sending a screenshot to the support team as they told me that they had conflicting information, swiftly followed by saying the resolution has been completed as I had not replied to them straight away. Today the screen shows that the pac code had expired and can I re-submit, I confirmed to them last week that I wished to keep the new number, so it is definitely not sorted. I saw another similar case where the new number stopped working after 30 days, my phone is still working so hopefully it is the end of the matter. If I knew it was going to be this much of a problem I would not have tried to keep the old number. Im still not confident everything is sorted.
