SIM card nightmare

Hey I received a sim to give to my friend we tried to activate it but it went on to order a new sim, now after speaking to chat they’ve attempted to activate it, but have suggested we cancel the account if it doesn’t work what happens to the pac code now then?

    Here, I’m not here to argue who’s right or wrong ok I’m not looking to make or receive criticisms.

    Anonymous​ You don't actually cancel an account unless you are within the first period when you can request a refund. You may want to have another web chat with Smarty Support to clarify this situation. Does the friend have an account? What does the Account Dashboard show?

      I was on with them for four hours yesterday they said the sim would be ready to use Tuesday or Wednesday. I’ve never heard the likes of it. Cancelled now also rewards would not have been applied and have heard since that they’re are not as straight forward as it appears.

        Anonymous​ Rewards are not applied until after the person buys a second plan.

        Did they explain why it would take time to set up the sim (Esim I assume)? Was that including the time it takes them to move the number using the PAC code? If so, numbers do not transfer over weekends and that would mean that the process could not be started until Monday.
