Set up roaming

So I have a smarty sim in and old 3 mobil 4g Mifi device. It works perfectly at home but not at all here in Malta. The advice from smarty is all based on using a phone. Is there an easy trick to get it to work without having to move the sim to my phone, twiddle and move it back. 

I really wanted to be able to use it and I can’t. My current contracted provider charges me a daily fee for roaming.

    Hi

    I’m off to Malta on Friday. 
    All I need to do is the one off update yes? That won’t change anything beforehand will it? So all cool to use my all inclusive data in Malta? Thank you :).

    Thanks. I think it sort of works. I set up a new profile with APN address . It currently keeps dropping from 4G to 3G to 2G to no service and back again. However I’m on the sea front in Sliema Malta and my phone signal has been doing the same. I’ll take it out and about tomorrow. The mifi is several years old and things move on so it might be that.

      Are you aware of the 12Gb limit while roaming in EU? Any chance that you have breached it?
