Phone asking for SIM PIN

Hi,

My daughters phone broke so we replaced it. When we put the SMARTY SIM in the new phone it is asking for a SIM PIN. I never set a SIM PIN and my daughter swears she never set a SIM PIN. We tried 0000 which FAQs say is default plus another PIN we sometimes use but neither worked. I dont want to keep guessing as we only have a few more tries. What can I do? Can I replace with an eSIM? Its an iphone 13. The old phone is completely broken and won't turn on.
