Persistent Smarty New Log In |Emails

Every time I log into my Smarty online dashboard I get a Smarty 'New Log In' email. How can i prevent these emails being sent every time I log in, its so annoying! 😉

Thanks for the feedback. So it seems this is by design which i find quite odd.

When I login to Facebook or my banking app for example i don't get sent an email each time telling me I hav e logged in. If this is for security then surely 2FA would be a more appropriate measure.

      SimonWe_2271554 I see your point - partially.

If I log in to my bank via the online portal on my computer, I am always required to complete another form of security i.e. 2FA. If I log in via the app on my mobile, this is covered by face recognition and therefore a form of 2FA. For Smarty to add that would be a possibility I expect, but would there be a cost implication?

As for Facebook, I don't have a clue because I do not use it ( - yes there is at least one person on planet Earth who does not have an account!!!🤣)

This sounds like what would happen if your security settings were blocking, or routinely clearing, cookies.

Or if an ad-blocker was interfering with the app or website.

      MarkWeatherill  Two separate issues here.

If you log in to your account, it sends that email.

If you do not log out each time then you do not always need to log in again, hence no email is sent.

SimonWe_2271554 You cannot stop it. It is a security measure.

Imagine that someone got hold of your personal info and logged into your account for malicious purposes. You would be informed by the email and could do something pretty pronto.

See? It's all for your own protection!
