No Mobile Data
Only Wi-Fi connection in Southern Spain. Pretty sure APN setting is as instructed. Calls fine but internet and WhatsApp not working unless via Wi-Fi

Quite possible, or the available service providers that Smarty can use. Just sat outside a bar - I was offered Movistar, Orange or Vodafone - no internet. My wife, dirtying across from me has perfect Wi-Fi via O2/Telefonica. Coverage maps show strong 5G coverage plus satisfactory 4G

How many bars are you getting? (phone bars, not real bars 😅)
Currently, at home (Spanish) I have 4 bars - connected to Movistar.
