Mobile says No Sim after using for 7 weeks.
iPhone saying no sim. Have switched off and reinserted sim but still says no sim.

Do you have another SIM you can try in it (e.g. a family member's)? That way, you can work out whether it's an issue with the phone or with the Smarty SIM (and if it's the Smarty SIM, you can speak to Smarty to get a replacement SIM).
