MIFI Connection.
MIFI Donegal
Hi friends
Can anyone please help me?
A member of my group purchased a 2GB data only SIM card from Smarty to trial at the weekend .
He has used. 1.7 GB out of his 2GB.
His connected MIFI continually told him all weekend that he was “not connected to the internet”
Why?
What have I or he not done.

My MIFI is not displaying the name of Smarty although it’s displaying that there is one device connected.

BrianDi_2293556 The one device connected would be the device connected to the MIFI via its WiFi. If it doesn't display SMARTY in the connection, then you are probably not getting network, and subsequently your phone would show "Connected, no internet".
Does this MIFI support 4G? Do you get internet if you put the SIM on a phone? Do you have coverage where the MIFI is located? Check the network's status in your area too.

Hi ZenovA
Please find screen shot of my IPhone connection over last weekend. My MIFI id is “4G- MIFI- 4180” Although you say I have used 300mb on the internet I have not been connected.
one point I ought to make is that the data only SIM card you supplied , I have NOT given you its number
regards

BrianDi_2293556 I am not a SMARTY employee, I am a customer like you, helping people with their issues in my spare time. I cannot see any account details from anyone.
I unfortunately cannot see a photo. I don't think this community platform allows image attachments. Maybe if you can find an image uploading site and then share the link?
I don't know why it would consume 300mb if it has not been used elsewhere. Did you try contacting support via Live Chat?

BrianDi_2293556 If 300MB data has been used, then wouldn't that mean you are connected to the internet, and the MIFI is reporting incorrectly? Unless the 300MB was used on a phone.
Have you checked the APN settings and made sure it is set to mob.asm.net? Here's the article for more details: Using the internet after you've joined SMARTY | SMARTY Help Centre.
