I am looking for suggestions for a Mifi device which is compatible with a sim data package (from Smarty) which is to be used in France on a Campsite.
Does anyone use the above setup? What make / model Mifi do you use with the Smarty sim and will it work in France?

Lovestaines Not in a position to recommend devices, but do make sure that the device APN is set to mob.asm.net and remember that you are limited to 12GB data within your Smarty plan while EU Roaming and also 60 days usage.
Also worth selecting network manually sometimes s automatic may not always choose the best one.
A little late here but fwiw. Presently in France with a TPac MiFi device and a Smarty SIM card. This set up works well at home in the UK.
I made sure to update the SIM card settings prior to leaving the UK but the TPac keeps looking for the “three” network.
Fortunately I brought a spare iPhone. The hotspot setting works well with the smarty sim.
The MiFi systems seems flawed.
My advice is to bring a spare phone and use the hotspot.
