Manage group
Hello,
I am new to smarty. I ordered a sim for a family member and then ordered myself one. This has become a group. However the first number is not mine and my family member wants to take responsibility over it. I have tried to mange the group so that they can do this. My group plan is stating that the first number I originally ordered is mine, which is incorrect and it will not let me remove it from my group. I have tried the chat and have gotten nowhere. I have received sent an email to the smarty email but have not received a reply yet. Please does anyone know how I can separate these number so that my family never can take responsibility over their number. Many thanks Rachel

Hello RachelWh_549183,
Thanks for sharing your query here.
As you had ordered the first SIM with your own details, this would explain why it was allocated to you as the account creator, due to this being the first SIM purchased.
MSF is correct in that you can separate members from the group. Once this is actioned, the removed party becomes a standalone account, and the removed user receives an email with the next steps.
They lose the 10% group discount and must set up their own payment details to continue service. A PAC is also generated for them to join another network or create a separate account to remain with Smarty.
However, transferring account ownership would not be possible for the main SIM, so your details would remain on the primary account SIM, even if you provided this and the number for a family member to use.

Thank you for your help. However the owner is the number that I need to remove so my family member can take the responsibility of it. The other number in the group is my number. Is there anything I can do do to sort this out

RachelWh_549183 Have you considered disbanding the Group by removing the members (The Owner needs to do that). Anyone else can then start a new Group and be the Owner of it - thus preserving the 10% discounts.

RachelWh_549183 When you log in at http://www.smarty.co.uk and look at the Account Dashboard, it will show the Group Owner. Clicking on the blue circle will then show the other members of the group.
Only the owner can then remove a member from the group.
