Fried my sim card

I recently ordered a sim for my data router, It was working OK until I upgraded the firmware on my Zyxel NR7101, I had to remove the sim to carry out this operation, the router updated to the latest firmware OK.

but once i re-inserted the SIM it would not reconnect to the data mast, i wondered if i could have fried the sim as i forgot to disengage the POE cable, have ordered a replacement and i hope it works when i replace it.  anyone else had this problem. ????    regards  Gaz
