Your words suggest otherwise, get used to being in the queue just like everybody else, not as your "especially as I'm a new customer" suggest you want to be treated.

I'm in the same situation, just moved back the UK and needed a SIM card. I thought Smarty was a good choice. Not a great first experience. I don't think OP is being unreasonable, how do you know his situation. He could need the phone for all kinds of things. Smarty made a promise to get it done in 2 hours and they aren't delivering. It's their core business, you'd think they could get it right.
